Although we had the obvious constraints of the space within our classroom and COVID restrictions, my teaching partner and I worked hard to create a calming and exciting place where our students could feel comfortable at home – a place where they could see themselves.
Let’s begin by looking at the space itself. Although we had many rotating centers on table tops (student desks) throughout the year, there were some spaces and materials that were always made available in various iterations:
