Literacy Centers

Each week we would set out literacy centers for our students to engage in that related to what we were learning at the time. Here’s a little peek into some of the activities that we did!

We had the letters for the CVC words hiding inside the eggs – they needed to open them up, arrange the letters and match to the pictures

Here we are labelling parts of a flower and colouring it in – with an example to use for guidance if needed!

More CVC words! This time, students needed to choose a rain drop and find the matching word on their sheet.

When I first arrived at my second LTO, center time had become more of a free play time, and I wanted to try and incorporate some learning – that would still be fun! Here are some of the literacy centers that we created:
